Settled Salvation What is the determining factor in salvation? Exactly what does a person have to do to be saved? The Bible doesn’t leave us in the dark. The answer is found in the Word of God. In Acts 16:30 and 31, the Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas: “Sirs, what must I do to be saved? Over the course of time, I have often heard it preached and taught that “once saved, always saved” is nothing more than a lie from the Devil. That should a Christian backslide or sin without repentance; hell will be his everlasting home. The problem with that is it is not what Scripture teaches, nor is it what the Apostle Paul preached.
